The Opportunity
A research and technology company providing development and support to leading
international clients operating cutting-edge financial trading technologies seeks a software
engineer to participate in the development cycle of the company’s automated platform and
support systems. This is not a work-from-home position.
The individual
The ideal candidate will have excellent all-round computing skills, mathematical ability, and a passion for software development and technology. They will be able to understand, anticipate and respond to the company’s system development requirements, be a team player, and take ownership of projects.
The company will train and mentor the successful candidate, developing their knowledge and skillset, and as such a desire to learn and grow is essential.
Requirements
Degree in science/computing/numerate/engineering field.
Experienced and comfortable in C++ or C#.
Deep interest and understanding of software development and object-oriented design
principles.
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Excellent new graduate or someone with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
CV submission must be in English; interviews will be in English
The following will be considered an advantage
Python
Linux command line tools, scripting tools and basic system administration
