Job Summary:

Our client is a Limassol based Anglo-Cypriot Financial Services Company.  It is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior IT Support Technician to join their
dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line technical support, maintaining infrastructure, assisting in IT projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT-related systems across the company. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for growth and learning within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support across the company (in person, by phone, or remotely).
• Support, maintain, and replace IT infrastructure including hardware and software.
• Perform cabling tasks in server rooms, patch rooms, and client floor spaces.
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and
scanners.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and associated services.
• Respond promptly to service issues, requests, and incidents.
• Set up new user accounts and manage access permissions.
• Test and evaluate new technologies and equipment after procurement.
• Take ownership of Help Desk matters and ensure effective communication of IT issues.
• Maintain the data system infrastructure and support its continuous improvement.
• Travel to remote offices and service provider locations as required.
• Participate in large-scale IT projects and independently manage smaller technical projects.
• Provide desktop hardware and software support, including troubleshooting.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot new workstations and servers.
• Order necessary parts for system maintenance and desktop builds.
• Continuously learn and develop skills related to system infrastructure packages.
• Maintain websites and oversee general cloud services.
• Respond to IT and cybersecurity issues, including after-hours emergencies.
• Support and maintain alarm systems, surveillance, and access control systems.
• Deliver cybersecurity awareness and training as required.
• Provide office support for workstation moves and user-related setups.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe IT workspace, including workshop and parts storage.
• Collaborate closely with external contractors and vendors on IT projects.
• Work closely with IT and Administration teams, demonstrating initiative and eagerness to learn.
• Be available to work outside standard hours, including weekends, to meet critical deadlines.
• Understand and support the broader international IT framework and infrastructure.
• Support the Business Continuity site and remote working capabilities for staff.
• Carry out any other related ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:
• Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, Cisco CCNA) or equivalent
experience.
• Previous experience in a similar IT support role
• Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a team environment.
• Flexibility to travel and work after hours when needed.
• Awareness of cybersecurity principles and basic protocols.
