IT Officer (IT Support & VoIP)

Role Overview
We are looking for an IT Officer to provide L1/L2 technical support with a focus on VoIP systems and day-to-day IT operations. The role also offers exposure to systems and network administration, making it ideal for someone looking to grow their infrastructure skills in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities
IT Support & End-User Services (Primary Focus)
• Act as the first point of contact for IT and VoIP-related issues (L1/L2 support)
• Set up, configure, and support laptops, desktops, mobile devices, IP phones, and softphones
• Provide support for Windows environments and Microsoft 365
• Deliver remote and onsite technical assistance to end-users

VoIP Support & Administration (Core Area)
• Support and maintain VoIP systems (e.g., 3CX, FreePBX, Cisco)
• Assist with user provisioning, call routing, IVRs, SIP trunking, and voicemail
• Monitor call quality and troubleshoot issues such as latency, jitter, and packet loss
• Coordinate with vendors and telecom providers when needed

Exposure to Infrastructure (Systems & Network)
The following responsibilities are part of the role as learning and support opportunities, not full ownership areas:
Systems Administration (Junior Exposure)
• Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining servers (physical or virtual), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and applications
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades
• Monitor system performance, logs, and resource usage; support troubleshooting of infrastructure issues
• Help manage user accounts, permissions, and directory services (e.g., Active Directory)
• Support backup setup and maintenance
• Assist with hardware procurement, inventory tracking, and server room setup
• Document configurations, procedures, and infrastructure changes
• Support basic network-related tasks (e.g., DHCP, simple switch configurations)

Network Administration (Junior Exposure)
• Assist in installing and maintaining network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points)
• Monitor network performance and support troubleshooting of connectivity issues
• Perform routine network maintenance and updates
• Support cabling, patch panel work, and physical network setup
• Assist with VPN configuration and wireless network optimization
• Maintain network documentation and diagrams

IT Operations
• Support asset management and inventory tracking
• Assist with backups and basic security practices (access control, updates)
• Follow IT policies and procedures

Requirements
• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or related field
• Experience in IT support (L1/L2)
• Exposure to VoIP systems or strong interest in learning VoIP
• Basic understanding of networking and systems concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Fluent in English (mandatory)

• Exposure to Windows Server or Linux
• Basic networking knowledge (VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
